Guitarist and bandleader David Feily plays a guitar trio show at Berlin to celebrate the release of an EP of live recordings.
David Feily plays Berlin on Wednesday, November 18, in a guitar trio format. The show celebrates the release of a new EP that collects recordings from his past performances, so the set is built around music he's played live over the years rather than a brand-new studio record. If you've seen him before, you'll recognize the songs; if you haven't, it's a good way to hear a cross-section of his work in one night.
Feily is a Twin Cities guitarist and bandleader, and for this one he's bringing in two other musicians to round out the trio. The EP itself is a collection of live recordings, so the whole project is about the live experience—the kind of thing that usually only exists in the room when it's happening. Hearing those recordings brought back to the stage in a trio setting is the point of the night.
