Tribute band Dancing Queen brings disco classics from ABBA, the Bee Gees and Donna Summer to Crooners Supper Club.
Dancing Queen brings a disco tribute to Crooners Supper Club on Wednesday, October 21, at the Main Stage Showroom. The set pulls from ABBA, the Bee Gees and Donna Summer, and it's as much about the visuals as the music: costumes and choreography are part of the show.
Behind the name is Belladiva, a Twin Cities group with more than 25 years of experience. It was started by Lisa Marie Furth, and the members come from dance, theatre and live entertainment backgrounds, which explains why the choreography is built into the performance rather than just something happening in the background. The show is presented by Crooners as part of their Main Stage Showroom collection.
The lineup for the night puts three voices up front: Lisa Marie Furth, Andrina Brogden and Kinaundrae Lee. They're backed by Scott Mullenburg on bass and vocals, Kenyari Jackson on drums, Ben Bousierres on guitar and Demar Gayle on keys. With that many people on stage, it's a full band rather than a small ensemble, and the three-part vocal arrangement is a big part of how they cover the ABBA and Bee Gees material.

Doors open at 6 PM, an hour before the show starts, so there's time for dinner and drinks before the music kicks in. The performance runs from 7 PM to 8:30 PM, and tickets are $30 to $40. You'll find it at Crooners Supper Club, 6161 Hwy 65 NE in Minneapolis.
