Minneapolis troubadour Dan Rodriguez plays The Parkway Theater with a night of holiday classics and originals for Christmas.
Dan Rodriguez brings his holiday show, All I Want For Christmas Is Whiskey, to The Parkway Theater on Saturday, December 19. He'll be backed by his band, and the set mixes holiday classics with his own originals.
Rodriguez is a Minneapolis troubadour who describes himself as a "whiskey & beer drinking, fishing & hunting loving, motorcycle riding" husband and father. He grew up in the suburbs of Detroit and moved to Minneapolis at 18 to study music, and he's been working out of the city ever since. His songs have a habit of landing in commercials: Budweiser used "When You Come Home" in its "Friends Are Waiting" campaign, which premiered during the Super Bowl in September 2014; Miller Lite used his single "So Good" in NFL commercials on ESPN in October 2018; and "You Feel Like Home" appeared in Explore Minnesota Tourism's ad campaign in March 2019.
He's shared the stage with The Civil Wars, Andy Grammer, Eric Hutchinson, Matt Nathanson, NeedtoBreathe, Augustana, Tyrone Wells, Haley Reinhart, John McLaughlin, Will Hoge, Drew Holcomb, and Sister Hazel. His discography includes 25 Years in 2018, the self-produced Troubadour Family Man in 2022, and Wander in 2025.
