The Cedar presents Arlen, a Midwest supergroup, with special guest Abby Webster opening the show.
Arlen play The Cedar Cultural Center on Saturday, December 5, with Abby Webster opening. Arlen is a Midwest supergroup that's come together loosely over the last few years around the songs of Lee Henke (The Last Revel), Kyle Shelstad (Barbaro), and Soren Staff (Them Coulee Boys), with Nate Lebrun (Humbird) on drums and Simon Cropp on pedal steel. The roles rotate from song to song, and the band describes its formula as giving the songwriters time, freedom, and no expectations.
Opening the night is Abby Webster, a Montana-based singer-songwriter whose music lives between Americana and indie-folk. She writes about the natural world and the ordinary moments that shape our lives. The Cedar bills the evening as an all-ages show, so it's one you can bring the kids to if you're planning a family night out.
