Americana night of roots, bluegrass and blues with Maygen & The Birdwatcher, Rich Mattson & The Northstars, Emmy Woods and Ross Thorn.
Amerigrass '26 comes to The Hook and Ladder Theater on Saturday, November 14, with a four-act bill that pulls from across the region. The night is hosted by Twin Cities Americana band Maygen & The Birdwatcher, who blend folk, country, bluegrass and blues with rich harmonies, sharp songwriting and a lively roots-driven sound.
Joining them are three other acts from the Midwest. Rich Mattson & The Northstars come in from Northern Minnesota, their indie rock and Americana drawing on Neil Young, The Replacements and classic heartland rock. Emmy Woods is a Saint Paul singer born in North Dakota, with an ethereal voice and storytelling that pull from country, folk and blues. And Ross Thorn is a Duluth folk songwriter whose warm Americana and traditional instrumentation pair with witty, Prine-esque storytelling. Between the four of them, the bill gathers several of the region's best acts across Americana, roots, bluegrass and blues.
