Irish folk trio Amble, with special guest Vincent Lima, play First Avenue in Minneapolis.
Amble play the Mainroom at First Avenue on Thursday, October 29, with special guest Vincent Lima. The trio is Robbie Cunningham, Oisin McCaffrey, and Ross McNerney, three songwriters from the Midlands and West of Ireland who left their day jobs in rural Ireland to play together. They describe their folk as novelistic, channeling the serenity of the surrounding countryside and the bond of long friendship.
Their sound grew from the trad-tinged 2023 live debut EP Amble (Live) to 2024's Of Land and Sea, which expanded their audience well beyond Ireland. They signed to Warner Records in 2024 and released the EP The Commons before putting out their debut LP, Reverie, in May 2025. Reverie went on to be the most-streamed Irish album of the year, followed by the EP HAND ME DOWNS. They also contributed to the Shane MacGowan tribute set 20th Century Paddy.
