Family film screening of Stitch Head, a friendly local monster, within the Family Halloween programme at HOME.
Stitch Head screens at HOME on Saturday 17 October, part of their family Halloween programme. It's a family feature based on the Guy Bass book series, so it's one of those afternoons that works just as well with the kids as it does if you're just in the mood for something a bit odd.
The story follows a small, forgotten creature living in a long-abandoned castle. He's woken up by a Mad Professor, who tasks him with protecting the professor's other wildly inventive creations from the suspicious townspeople of Grubber Nubbin. Eventually, he leaves the castle behind for the circus. It's a family film, so it's built for a younger crowd, and it fits right into the Halloween season.
HOME is at 2 Tony Wilson Place, M15 4FN, in the First Street area of the city. It opened in 2015 from the merger of the Cornerhouse and the Library Theatre Company, and it's one of the few venues in the UK that produces, commissions and presents work across film, theatre and visual art under one roof, with two theatres and five cinemas. This screening is one of the family-friendly slots they've put together for the Halloween period.
