Chichester Festival Theatre's production of the classic musical, featuring lavish set design and exhilarating choreography, including the famous 'splashing puddles' dance sequence.
Singin' In The Rain is coming to The Lyric Theatre at The Lowry in Salford Quays from Tuesday 20 to Saturday 31 July 2027. It's the Chichester Festival Theatre production, which started there before a West End transfer and is now touring the UK.
The story is set in Hollywood during the transition from silent films to talking pictures, and the stage version pairs lavish set design with exhilarating choreography and old-school romance. It works its way through MGM classics like 'Good Morning' and 'Make 'Em Laugh' alongside the title song. The signature moment is the 'splashing puddles' dance sequence, which calls for more than 14,000 litres of water on stage to recreate the film's iconic title sequence.
