The Big Tiny present the award-winning Sleeping Beauty pantomime at Contact Theatre, a warm, witty and proudly Northern production.
The Big Tiny are back at Contact Theatre this December with Sleeping Beauty, their take on the pantomime classic. It runs from 10 to 31 December in Space 1, with the press night on Thursday 10 December. The company returns to Contact following their 2025 panto Rumpelstiltskin, with writer/director Ben and producer Will still at the helm.
They describe the show as "beaming with unmistakable Manchester spirit, warm, witty and proudly Northern", and the reviews have been strong: the Manchester Evening News called it "the best little panto in the country" and the Yorkshire Post called it "the ultimate gem in pantoland's crown". It runs for two hours and fifteen minutes, including the interval, and the production leans into the story's history: Sleeping Beauty began as a very dark tale long before it became a pantomime favourite.
Contact is running accessible performances alongside the main run. There's a BSL interpreted performance on Sunday 20 December at 5pm, a relaxed performance on Saturday 12 December at 1.30pm, and an adults-only showing on Friday 11 December at 7pm, for 18s and over only.
