A musical comedy by Sh!t Theatre telling the story of Isabel Perón, the first female president of a country, blending songs, wizards and roller-skating.
Sh!t Theatre are back at The Lowry in Salford from Thursday 7 to Saturday 9 January 2027, playing in the Quays space. The show is called EVITA TOO, and it's a musical comedy about Isabel Perón, the first female president of a country.
If that name sounds familiar, it's because she's the one who got the short end of the stick in the famous Andrew Lloyd Webber and Tim Rice musical. Sh!t Theatre describes EVITA TOO as the greatest story never told: the life of Isabel Perón, whose place in history was overshadowed by that very show about her dead husband's even deader ex-wife. The production follows the duo as they travel across Argentina and Spain in search of the former president, while their own lives surprisingly and tragically intertwine with hers. Set against the backdrop of her time in power, it blends songs, wizards and even naked roller-skating. Perón was eventually overthrown in a military coup.
