Free live music from The Untold Quartet, a Manchester group reimagining orchestral music, within the Festive Voices programme.
The Untold Quartet play The Social, Aviva Studios on Thursday 10 December, as part of the Festive Voices programme. It's a free session, though you'll need to book your place through Factory International beforehand.
The quartet comes from The Untold Orchestra, a Manchester group that's been around since 2019. They're a registered charity, and they describe their work as reimagining what orchestras are and who they're for. They collaborate with artists, creatives and communities across the city to put on performances and projects they say are meant to uplift, celebrate and get people on the dance floor, using music as a tool to bring people together. This particular session is one of several they're running as part of their festive programme, which brings together local choirs, bands and workshops at Aviva Studios.
It's an all-ages afternoon, so you can bring the kids along — under-14s just need to be accompanied by an adult aged 18 or over. When you book through Factory International, you can also sort out access tickets, wheelchair spaces, an accessible viewing platform and essential companion tickets.

The session starts at 1.15pm and runs for about an hour, so it's a lunchtime or early afternoon thing rather than a night out. It's free, but booking is required.
