A 360 immersive exhibition featuring iconic performance footage, interviews and never-before-seen material from the David Bowie Archive, narrated by Bowie himself.
David Bowie: You're Not Alone runs at Aviva Studios from 8 December 2026 to 10 January 2027. It's a 360° immersive experience that pulls from thousands of hours of film held in the David Bowie Archive in New York, bringing together performance footage, rarely heard interviews and material that's never been seen before.
Bowie himself is the sole voice throughout. His own narration threads through the footage, photography, drawings, lyrics, personal notes and sketches to build an intimate self-portrait that spans his career, from Space Oddity and Diamond Dogs through Heroes to ★. The show is produced by Lightroom and designed by 59, a Journey studio, and was written and directed by 59's Mark Grimmer and Tom Wexler, in close collaboration with and authorised by the David Bowie Estate. Grimmer previously served as Creative Director for the V&A's David Bowie Is exhibition.
It uses the same Lightroom visual technology and spatial audio found in David Hockney: Bigger & Closer, The Moonwalkers and VOGUE: Inventing the Runway. The experience runs as a continuous loop of about an hour, designed to be watched from any point in the room. Grimmer describes it as a celebration of Bowie as a champion of human creativity.
