Multi-venue festival of around 101 shows in 60 languages by emerging artists across eight London theatres, produced by The Cockpit.
Voila! Theatre Festival returns to The Cockpit and seven other London venues from 2 to 22 November 2026. It's a panlingual celebration of bold, boundary-crossing performance that platforms emerging artists and work that might be considered too political or uncomfortable for bigger venues. The Stage called it 'an essential festival'. It expanded into a multi-venue festival in 2024 with support from Arts Council England and posted record-breaking ticket sales in 2025, keeping a grassroots ethos while growing in ambition.
The whole programme is built around language, which the festival calls 'panlingual' rather than multilingual: more than half the shows are performed in English and at least one other language, and anything not in English is accompanied by subtitles or surtitles. The 2026 edition gathers around 450 artists across eight London venues, with 101 shows and events in 60 different languages. It's produced by The Cockpit with support from United Colleges Group, and the programme includes Fringe Award winners, scratch nights, live streams, workshops and panel talks.
Among the shows this year are Dis Èquilibre's physical theatre Binary Lives - Where fate takes us, Romeo Lau's absurdist play BLONDIE BLUE EYES, the object theatre The Gummy Bears' Great War by Batsifera, Windows of Displacement by Akeim Toussaint Buck, and the contemporary play How to Cry in a House Full of Children by Uruguayan playwright Victoria Vera, brought to the UK by True Life productions.
