Olivier Award-winning jukebox musical comedy that parodies the film Titanic with the songs of Céline Dion, backed by a live band.
Titanique is running at the Criterion Theatre in Piccadilly, and it's a strange one. It's a jukebox musical comedy that mashes up the eleven-time Oscar-winning film Titanic with the songs of Céline Dion, played out as a musical fantasia with live vocals and a live band. The plot kicks off when Céline Dion takes over a tour of the Titanic museum, claiming she survived the crash and insisting on telling what really happened that night. From there it goes off into parody, with Dion's biggest hits—'My Heart Will Go On', 'All by Myself' and 'To Love You More'—woven through the story. Critics have called it a 'brilliant, bonkers musical parody', a 'deliriously silly musical spoof' and a 'camp fever dream'.
It's had a fair bit of a journey before landing here. It premiered Off-Broadway in June 2022 at the Asylum Theatre, moved to the Daryl Roth Theatre in November 2022, and transferred to Broadway in April 2026. Along the way it picked up three 2023 Lucille Lortel Awards, including Outstanding Musical, and it's an Olivier Award-winner too. The London run opened on 9 December 2024 and is scheduled to run until 3 January 2027, so it's not going anywhere in a hurry.
There's a change in the lead coming up, so it's worth checking who's on stage when you book. Myra DuBois plays Ruth until 8 November, and then William Hanson takes over for the final eight weeks of the run. Between the two of them, the show keeps going through the end of the year.
