Bicentenary edition of UCL Engineering's award-winning live theatre showcase on engineering science, with a free engineering exhibition before the show.
The Wonders 200 is at the Bloomsbury Theatre and Studio tonight, Tuesday 20 October, from 7:00pm to 8:30pm. It's the bicentenary edition of UCL Engineering's live theatre showcase, staged as part of the celebrations for UCL's 200th anniversary. The show is produced by The Cosmic Shambles Network, and it runs for about 90 minutes without an interval.
It's a broad look at what UCL's engineering science covers, and the range is pretty wide. You'll see new crime-fighting methods and materials science alongside nature-inspired engineering and tomorrow's robotics, all served with a helping of showbiz mirth and magic. It's designed to be accessible, so you don't need a degree to follow it.
If you can get there early, there's more to it than just the main show. From 5:00pm, the Bloomsbury Studio downstairs from the theatre hosts 'The Wonders Interactive', an exhibition of engineering magic. Every ticket includes a complimentary drink on arrival and access to that exhibition, so arriving early lets you stretch the evening out.
