Live show by Static Dress at the Electric Ballroom on Camden High Street.
Static Dress play the Electric Ballroom on Friday 30 October, their only London date this autumn. It's a single-night stand in Camden, so if you're going to catch them, this is the one.
They're touring as a full live band, and the set is built around their latest material. It's not a retrospective — the new songs take centre stage, though they'll reach back into the older records to round things out. If you've followed them from the start, you'll hear the early stuff; if you're coming in late, the new songs are where the night is focused.
As for what that actually sounds like, they've always sat somewhere between the heavy and the melodic, and this tour keeps that balance. The new material leans into the more expansive side of their sound, with the live set giving those textures room to breathe. It's a full-band show, so you'll get the weight of the guitars and the drums rather than a stripped-back version of the recordings.
