Christmas market with over 90 independent stalls of handmade gifts, jewellery, art and homeware across two festive weekends, with free festive workshops.
St Martin-in-the-Fields hosts its Christmas market across two weekends this November, run by SoLo Craft Fair. It's spread over the 21st, 22nd, 28th and 29th, with the church crypt, the hall and the main foyer all filling up with over 90 independent stalls. Each day brings a new line-up of makers and designers, so if you can't make the first weekend, the second one will have a different set of people to look through.
Across those stalls you'll find handmade gifts, jewellery, art and homeware. It's a makers market, so the things on show are made by the people behind the stalls rather than sourced from elsewhere. The sheer number of them — more than 90 — means there's plenty to wander through, and the way it's split across the crypt, the hall and the foyer gives you a few different spaces to work your way around.
There's more to it than just the shopping, too. Each day there are two free festive workshops running between 12pm and 4pm, and the Crypt Café has a festive drink on the go if you need a break. SoLo Craft Fair runs makers markets across London throughout the year, and this edition is already on a waiting list for traders, which gives you an idea of the scale they're working to.
