Stand-up hour by Chloe Petts, star of Taskmaster S22, at Signature Brew Blackhorse Road.
Chloe Petts is back at Signature Brew Blackhorse Road on Thursday 22 October, with a new stand-up hour she's calling Call Me By My Surname. It's a work-in-progress show, presented by Signature Brew Comedy Club in association with Nice N' Spiky Comedy, and it marks her fifth show after four tours.
Petts describes the set as "cerebral laddishness" and bills it as her most honest one yet. The material draws on a few specific threads: her new identity as a "Passenger Princess", a tricksy snake called Medusa, and the trials of being the only sober person at a Pitbull concert. If you've followed her work, you'll recognise the way she takes a small, personal detail and pulls it apart until it becomes something larger.
She's a familiar face on TV and radio, having appeared on Have I Got News For You (BBC1), Live at the Apollo (BBC2), and Bake Off: An Extra Slice (Ch4), and she's been a regular host on Sky Sports News. She's also guested on podcasts like Off Menu, Shagged. Married. Annoyed. and Films to Buried With, and co-hosted The Guilty Feminist alongside Deborah Frances-White. The Guardian called her "one of the most compelling young comics", and Bruce Dessau of The Evening Standard described her as "clearly a rising star whose name will soon be in lights".

Since this is a work-in-progress, you're seeing the new material while it's still being shaped, rather than a polished, tour-ready hour. Doors open at 7pm, the show starts at 8pm and finishes by 9pm. Tickets are £11 including fees, with a £1 booking fee on top.
