The Sex Pistols reunion, with Steve Jones, Glen Matlock and Paul Cook fronted by Frank Carter, plays Brixton Academy.
Sex Pistols are playing Brixton Academy on Friday 18 December, with Frank Carter on vocals. It's part of a tour taking its name from the band's debut single, Anarchy in the UK, released on 26 November 1976, and it marks five decades of punk rock.
On stage are three original members: Steve Jones, Glen Matlock and Paul Cook. The tour's name is a nod to the band's 1976 Anarchy tour, which shared a bill with The Clash, The Damned, Johnny Thunders and The Heartbreakers — a run drummer Paul Cook remembers as "kind of like a commando raid".
They're playing the songs from their only studio album, Never Mind the Bollocks, Here's the Sex Pistols, mostly in its entirety, with "Silly Thing" and the cover of "My Way" from The Great Rock 'n' Roll Swindle added in. The band was formed in 1975 by Malcolm McLaren with Johnny Rotten, Steve Jones, Paul Cook and Glen Matlock; when Rotten left, Sid Vicious took over on bass in 1977.
