Weekly Saturday night of stand-up comedy with a mix of TV comedians and new London talent at Comedy Freaks in Kings Cross.
Comedy Freaks are running their Saturday comedy show at Comedy Freaks in Kings Cross on 31 October, and it's one of a long run: the same show goes on through 7, 14, 21 and 28 November, and then 5 and 12 December, all starting at 7:30pm. If you can't make the Halloween date, you've got plenty of Saturdays to choose from over the next couple of months.
The venue itself is barely a two-minute walk from Kings Cross Station, which makes it an easy one to get to from almost anywhere in London. Inside, it's a stylish bar with a live DJ who keeps the energy up between sets, so the night doesn't just stop and start. The line-ups tend to mix surprise appearances from top TV comedians with the freshest new London talent, so you're as likely to see a household name as you are someone you've never heard of. It draws a diverse, local crowd and has built a following as a popular date-night option.
One thing that sets it apart from a lot of other comedy clubs is what happens after the show. The bar runs long into the night, closing at 4am, so if you're in the mood to stay on and keep the evening going, you can. It's a good spot for a proper night out rather than just a quick trip in and out.
