Stand-up show 'Work In Progress' by Edinburgh Comedy Award nominee Sarah Keyworth at The Bill Murray, an Angel Comedy venue.
Sarah Keyworth is at The Bill Murray on Thursday 22 October, playing a work-in-progress set. If you've never seen them before, Keyworth is an Edinburgh Comedy Award nominee and a Melbourne International Comedy Festival winner, known for sharp wit, heartfelt storytelling and for exploring gender identity. They've appeared on Live At The Apollo, Mock the Week and 8 Out of 10 Cats Does Countdown, written for The Now Show on BBC Radio 4 and presented their own show Are You A Boy Or A Girl?, a timely, hilarious and insightful exploration of gender.
Because this is a work-in-progress, you're seeing new material as it's being built rather than a polished, finished hour. That's the whole point of these nights: the jokes are still being shaped and the stories are still being worked out in front of a live audience. It's a bit of a different experience from a headline show, and it's one of the few times you get to see how a comedian actually puts a new set together. If you're into that, it's worth keeping in mind that this isn't a one-off — there are two more dates in the same room on Wednesday 4 November and Monday 23 November, so you can track how the material changes over a few months.
