Outdoor Halloween screenings on the roof of the Bussey Building in Peckham, with cult classics, newer releases and seasonal storytelling.
Rooftop Cinema Club is turning its Peckham site into a 'roof of horrors' this October, with a Halloween programme of screenings that mix newer releases, cult favourites, classics and seasonal titles. It's the same open-air setup they run throughout the summer, but with the autumn nights drawing in, the whole thing takes on a bit of a different mood.
The venue is on the roof of the Bussey Building in Copeland Park, 133 Rye Lane, SE15 4ST. It's a proper working cinema rather than a pop-up, open from May to October, and it sits high enough to give you a wide view across the South London skyline. As the film plays, the light over the city shifts from gold to dark, and because every seat comes with wireless headphones, the soundtrack stays on the roof rather than drifting down to the High Street below. Rows of single lounge chairs and two-person seats run the length of the screen, and there's a licensed bar and concessions open from when doors first open until the film finishes.

Beyond the public screenings, they also do private buyouts for premieres, brand launches and rooftop weddings. The Halloween programme itself is built around that mix of newer releases, cult favourites, classics and seasonal screenings, so there's a fair bit to choose from depending on what you're in the mood for. If you're heading there on Halloween night, the main session starts at 7:20 PM on Saturday 31 October. A single lounge chair starts from £14, and a two-person seat is from £20 per person.
