Twentieth anniversary Halloween edition of FrightFest, with UK and world premieres of horror, sci-fi and fantasy films screened twice across two days at the ODEON Luxe.
FrightFest returns to the ODEON Luxe West End in Leicester Square on Friday 30 and Saturday 31 October, bringing a weekend of horror, sci-fi and fantasy to the West End. It's the 20th anniversary of the festival's autumn offshoot, which follows the larger five-day Tubi FrightFest held in August. Every film in the programme screens twice across the two days, and everything is rated 18.
The line-up pulls from five countries. There are world premieres of The Cull, The Dark Gets In, and Brute 1986, and UK premieres of Freaks Part II, American Dollhouse, Talking to a Stranger, Unholy Night, and Dead Howling. Crawlers also makes an appearance as a London preview. Sean Hogan's The Dark Gets In screens on the Saturday, with the director and cast in attendance.
FrightFest is London's premier horror film festival, once called 'the Woodstock of Gore' by Guillermo del Toro. This Halloween edition is sponsored by Tubi, which describes horror as one of the biggest and most passionate communities on its platform and runs a permanent 'Terror on Tubi' hub. Co-director Greg Day describes the Halloween event as a highlight for genre cinema lovers.
