Gently spooky, interactive street theatre adventure for families in which two Head Explorers try to fix Professor Prankster's magical mistake.
Professor Prankster's Magical Mistake is coming to WWT London Wetland Centre on Saturday 24 October, and it's part of the SUPER Natural October Half Term they're running across the site. It's a gently spooky, interactive theatre adventure for families, so if you're looking for something to do with the kids over the break, this is a good shout. The show runs on Saturday 24 and Saturday 31 October, with sessions at 11:30am, 1:00pm and 2:30pm each day, so you can pick the slot that fits your morning or afternoon.
The story kicks off when Professor Prankster tries to cast a spell to make all the plastic rubbish disappear. It's a nice enough idea, but things go horribly wrong: instead of vanishing, the plastic becomes magical. From there, two Head Explorers set off on a silly, spellbinding adventure to put the magic right and save the day, and there's plenty of audience participation along the way, so the kids get to be part of it rather than just watching from their seats. It's described as suitable for all ages, and it's got a touch of wetlands magic woven in, which fits the setting.

As for the practical side, the show is held in the Pond Zone Building at the centre, which is on Queen Elizabeth's Walk in Barnes, SW13 9WT. It's included in the admission price, so you don't need a separate ticket for the performance itself. You will, however, need to book in advance through the WWT ticket shop, so it's worth sorting that before you head down. With sessions at 11:30am, 1:00pm and 2:30pm on both Saturdays, you've got a few options to choose from.
