Humble Grape is running a speed wine tasting on Monday 16 November, and it's exactly what it sounds like: you work your way through 11 wines in one sitting. It's a fast-paced way to taste a lot in a single evening, and the whole thing is set in a welcoming environment, so it works whether you're coming with a group or just turning up on your own.

The venue itself is Humble Grape at Liverpool Street, a wine bar and restaurant in the City of London. It's just off the cobbled streets of Fleet Street, inside a space with soaring stone ceilings and intricate sandstone archways. The kitchen focuses on locally sourced dishes, small plates and mains that pair with a wine list of over 500 organic wines from small, independent vineyards. They run regular tastings, and dogs are always welcome, so you can bring your four-legged friend along if you're not heading in alone.

If you're not in the mood for the full speed tasting, there's another way to do wine here: the Wine Discovery Experience. It's a personalised tasting of five wines chosen around your tastes, and it costs £45 per person. Between that and the 11-wine speed session, there are a couple of different ways to get through their list depending on how much you want to taste in one go.
