Over-18s Oktoberfest-themed 'Bavarian day rave' with a DIY fashion runway, Raveorobics and a slow-motion sausage-eating competition led by Hans Off.
Hans Off takes over The Fox and Firkin on Saturday 24 October for Oktoberfest x Hans Off, a Bavarian-themed afternoon that runs from 3:00 pm to 9:00 pm. Hans Off is the stage name of the comedian Daisy Doris May, and the whole thing is billed as a 'Bavarian day rave' rather than a traditional Oktoberfest. The focus here is on doing things rather than just drinking, so come prepared to get involved.
There's a DIY fashion runway where you can strut your stuff, a 'Germans Next Top Model' face-off, Raveorobics, and a slow-motion sausage-eating competition. Lederhosen are welcome, though the organisers say they're only for the 'kooki bishes'βthe dress code leans heavily towards the Klubkid aesthetic, so it's more about the bold and the bright than the traditional. It's strictly over-18s.
