Ocean Colour Scene celebrate the 30th anniversary of 'Moseley Shoals' with a tour, supported by The Enemy, at The O2.
Ocean Colour Scene play The O2 on Wednesday 9 December, with The Enemy supporting. It's a London date on a tour celebrating the 30th anniversary of Moseley Shoals, their second album, which came out in 1996 at the height of the Britpop era. It hit number two on the UK Albums Chart, went triple-platinum and spent 92 weeks on the chart, and gave us 'The Riverboat Song', 'You've Got It Bad', 'The Day We Caught The Train' and 'The Circle'.
That record sits at the heart of the set, but the show reaches beyond it. They're drawing on other hits too, like 'Hundred Mile High City', 'Travellers Tune', 'Better Day' and 'Profit In Peace'. Their manager Alan McGee has called this the band's biggest tour in 30 years.
There's a family thing going on up there, too. Drummer Oscar Harrison's son Leon is on percussion, and guitarist Steve Cradock's son Cass is on keys and guitar. The band itself formed in Birmingham back in 1989, so they've been at this a long time.
