Adults-only New Year's Eve party at the Natural History Museum with live music, a silent disco and animal handling by ZooLab.
New Year's Eve: Party at the Museum returns to the Natural History Museum on Thursday 31 December, an adults-only night that turns the museum into a venue after hours. It's now in its tenth year and comes after last year's sell-out, so if you're thinking about it, it's worth getting sorted early.
The night is built around live music and a full silent disco in Hintze Hall, with three DJs competing across different wireless channels and a full bar. Between the dancing, you can wander through the galleries—Hintze Hall, Earth Hall and the Mammal Gallery, with the blue whale skeleton hanging overhead, are all open. There's also a chance to meet real creatures handled by ZooLab's ethical animal handlers, so it's not just a dancefloor with a few exhibits in the background.
If you want to step it up, VIP tickets add skip-the-queue entry, a complimentary drink on arrival and an exclusive area with VIP-only animal handling and a separate dancefloor. The whole event is fully wheelchair accessible, and there's a hearing loop available.
