Mr Fogg's Martini Room

Mr Fogg's Martini Room is the latest addition to Mr Fogg's Gin Parlour in Covent Garden, a dedicated space for pouring your own martini. It's tucked inside the Gin Parlour at 1 New Row, WC2N 4EA, and runs Wednesday through Saturday.

The experience is a bit more hands-on than your usual drink. You're greeted by a gin enthusiast who hands you protective gloves, and from there you pour your own martini from a -18°C freezer before picking your own garnish. You'll walk away with a Martini Passport and a Polaroid to document the sitting, and the room can be booked for private hire for groups of up to 13 if you're bringing a crowd.

It sits within the wider Mr Fogg's collection — a group of cocktail bars and taverns across London in Covent Garden, Fitzrovia, Soho, Mayfair and the City, all inspired by Phileas J. Fogg, the hero of Jules Verne's Around the World in 80 Days. Each venue has its own signature cocktail menu and a Victorian-style interior, with gin tastings and cocktail masterclasses on the side. The Gin Parlour itself houses more than 200 gins, tonics and botanicals in an elegant room of upholstered seats and antique trinkets, and the Martini Room is billed as the distillery's 'most curious indulgence'.

Booking slots run Wednesday to Saturday, with times varying by day: Wednesday 5:30pm and 8pm; Thursday 5pm, 6:30pm and 8pm; Friday 5:30pm, 7pm, 8:30pm and 9:45pm; and Saturday 4pm, 5:30pm, 7pm, 8:30pm and 9:45pm. It's £20pp for one 75ml martini or £26pp for two 50ml ones.
