Mixtape: More Black Excellence with Playlist LDN

Playlist LDN takes the decks at Prince of Peckham on Friday 30 October, as part of the venue's Friday night club, MIXTAPE. It's a long one, running from 9:00 pm through to 2:30 am, so if you're planning to stay for the whole thing, you'll want to keep that in mind.

MIXTAPE is the resident Friday night at Prince of Peckham, run by the venue's own DJs who set the vibe from start to finish. The music stays in the same ballpark all night — hip hop, R&B and afrobeats — so you don't have to worry about the room shifting gears halfway through. They describe it as the ultimate Friday night in London, and with the set running five and a half hours, it's built for staying late rather than popping in for one.

There are a couple of things to get sorted before you head down. It's a 21+ event, and they run a strict dress code: no sportswear, tracksuits or track shorts. If you're used to a more casual night out, it's worth double-checking your outfit before you leave the house. Tickets give you priority access and let you jump the queue, but they don't guarantee entry, which stays subject to venue capacity.
