Live concert by singer-songwriter Maverick Sabre at the O2 Academy Brixton.
Maverick Sabre plays the O2 Academy Brixton on Thursday 17 December, with the show starting at 19:00. He's an English and Irish singer-songwriter, producer and multi-instrumentalist, born in Stoke Newington, Hackney, in July 1990 and raised in County Wexford after moving to Ireland at the age of four. He grew up on the blues, folk and country records his father played before immersing himself in Ireland's hip-hop scene as both artist and producer.
His style pulls from a wide range of influences, from The Stone Roses, The Beatles, Tupac, Cymande, 9th Wonder, DJ Premier and Nas. He's released four studio albums, collaborating along the way with George The Poet, Olivia Dean, Jorja Smith, Nile Rodgers and Chase & Status. Ten years after his debut, he re-recorded it to regain ownership of its masters.
