Free monthly stand-up show hosted by Joe Bains with up-and-coming London comedians at the Lyceum Tavern.
Joe Bains hosts another edition of the Lyceum Tavern Comedy Show on Sunday 25 October, from 4pm to 6pm at the Lyceum Tavern on the Strand. It's part of the Global Comedy Club's regular run, which takes place on the last Sunday of every month and is billed as a stayer. The show brings together what the organisers call London's finest up-and-coming comedians from the city's circuit for around two hours of live stand-up upstairs at the tavern, just a couple of minutes from Covent Garden and Charing Cross.
This month's line-up sees Joe Bains hosting Jonny Drewek, Nathan Samuel, Haza Mitchell, Siobhan Ward, Saajid Sahabdeen, Ellie Nguyen and Anno Gomes. It's a fair few names for one afternoon, so you'll get a good stretch of different acts rather than just one or two. The room upstairs has no amplified sound, which means no microphones and no music — just the comedians working the room. It's also worth knowing the venue has no step-free access, so keep that in mind if you're planning your trip.

Admission is free, and it's first come, first served in the saloon room, so if you want a good spot, it's best to get there a bit early. Drinks are available from the bar downstairs. The show runs from 4pm to 6pm, and since it's a free entry, it's an easy one to drop into on a Sunday afternoon.
