Luke Una and Marcellus Pittman play the second edition of the 'Ć Soul Cultura' residency, with machine soul, Balearic, rare disco and afro house.
Luke Una is back at Night Tales on Friday 23 October, the second night of his Ć Soul Cultura residency. He's running the whole thing himself, and this is one of four Fridays he's taking over the Hackney spot throughout October. He's joined on the bill by Marcellus Pittman, so it's two names on the lineup for the night.
Una is a Mancunian cult figure who's been at this for forty years, and he describes the residency as a love letter to late-night club culture and basement dancing. Across the four Fridays, he weaves through machine soul, Balearic, deep rare disco, afro and techno, with dub-tinged house and soulful tunes alongside a string of special guests. This particular night is the second edition of the series, and the summary for the evening points towards Balearic, disco and soulful cuts.

The venue is Night Tales, at 14 Bohemia Place, Mare Street, London E8 1DU, right in the heart of Hackney. Entry is restricted to over-18s, and you'll need ID to get in. Tickets start from £9.50.
