Two half-term children's shows at Fulham Palace: 'Hansel & Gretel' with puppetry and song for ages 4-7, and 'The Canterville Ghost' for ages 7+.
Fulham Palace is running two children's plays on Thursday 29 October, both held in the Chaplain's Garden marquee. It's part of their half-term programme, and the two stories are Hansel & Gretel and The Canterville Ghost.
Hansel & Gretel takes the Brothers Grimm tale and puts a playful, interactive spin on it, using puppetry, storytelling and song. It follows the two children as they stumble upon a gingerbread house, meet a mysterious old lady and try to find their way home. It's the morning show, starting at 11:00 and aimed at ages 4-7.
The Canterville Ghost comes in the afternoon at 14:00, and it's an audience-participation piece based on Oscar Wilde's spooky story. It's set at Canterville Chase, where a mischievous ghost can't seem to frighten anyone. This one is for the older crowd, ages 7 and up.

Both shows run for about 50 minutes with no interval, and they're priced at £12 each. The Palace café is open nearby, so there's somewhere to grab a drink before or after. With one for the little ones in the morning and another for the older kids in the afternoon, it's easy to do both if you've got the whole day free.
