An evening of storytelling and music with storyteller Emily Hanna-Grazebrook and CuriousHour, marking the threshold of Samhain at Chelsea Physic Garden.
Ghost Stories in the Garden is coming to Chelsea Physic Garden on Friday 30 October, a night of storytelling, music and folklore. It's storyteller Emily Hanna-Grazebrook leading the evening, with music from CuriousHour running alongside her. The two will be weaving together tales and songs of disguise, transformation and magic, with the music acting as a companion to the stories rather than a separate act.
The night sits within Folklore ReRooted, the garden's year-long folklore theme for 2026. This particular session is timed for the threshold of Samhain, that old Gaelic festival marking the point where autumn gives way to winter and the veil between worlds is said to thin. It's a fitting spot for a night of ghost stories, and the garden itself provides a quiet, enclosed setting for it. The focus is on folklore and the stories that come out when the nights start drawing in.

It's a relatively short evening, running from 6:30pm to 8:00pm, so you're in and out in ninety minutes. Tickets are £18.50, and booking is required, so you'll need to sort your place in advance rather than turning up on the night. The garden is at 66 Royal Hospital Road, Chelsea, SW3 4HS.
