Leisurely walk through Hampstead Heath with French conversation among French speakers, part of the London French Language Group.
The London French Language Group is taking a French adventure walk through Hampstead Heath on Sunday 1 November, with a second date on Sunday 13 December. Both start at 13:15. It's a guided walking tour through the park, and the whole thing is conducted in French, so you'll be chatting in the language as you go.
The group welcomes everyone from beginners to native speakers, so you don't need to be fluent to join in. The walks are described as leisurely, and the French conversation happens among French speakers throughout the route. If you're just starting out, it's a low-pressure way to get some speaking practice in while you're out in the fresh air.
There's a bit more to the group than just French, too. It's part of the wider Language Enthusiasts community, which runs activities in Spanish, Italian, German and Arabic, with a programme that ranges from walks to picnics. They run alongside sister groups like Friendly Londoners and Travellers (for the over-35s), so if you're looking for more than one language, there's plenty to pick from across the different branches.

On the practical side, there's a small contribution of £4.00 requested to cover Meetup fees, venue costs and organiser expenses. The group also runs free events periodically for newcomers. One thing to keep in mind: RSVPs close one day before each date, so if you're planning to go, make sure you sign up by Saturday.
