Adult ghost tours by candlelight through Bruce Castle, led by costumed guides to its haunted rooms and grounds, as part of the museum's Halloween programme.
Bruce Castle Museum & Archive is opening its doors after hours for After Dark @ The Castle, a series of adult ghost tours running Wednesday 28, Thursday 29 and Friday 30 October. It's part of the museum's Halloween programme, which keeps the building open late for these tours alongside daytime drop-in sessions for children.
The tours are led by costumed guides who take you through the rooms and grounds by candlelight, carrying you back to the Victorian age of ghost storytelling. Along the way, they dig into the building's sinister secrets, eerie experiences and local legends. The museum leans on the site's reputation as one of London's most haunted, citing a Brucian account from 1856 of ghostly presences inside what is also one of the city's oldest buildings.
