Permanent multi-sensory exhibition with 43 masterpieces by Cezanne, Monet, Dali and Van Gogh reworked across four immersive galleries.
Frameless is running at Marble Arch Place from Sunday 25 October through Sunday 15 November, with 14 shows across the three weeks. It's an immersive art experience rather than a traditional gallery, and it's billed as the largest permanent multi-sensory experience in the UK.
The show is spread across four distinct galleries, with 43 masterpieces in total. The names you'll recognise from the line-up include Cezanne, Kandinsky, Monet, Dali, Van Gogh, Canaletto, Rembrandt and Klimt. The whole point is that these works are reworked in ways they've never been seen before, so even if you've spent years staring at a Van Gogh or a Monet in a museum, this is a different way of looking at them. The organisers describe it as redefining the experiential immersive art world.
Because it's a multi-sensory thing, it's not just about what you see on the walls. The four galleries each have their own character, and the works are presented as part of a larger, immersive environment rather than as individual frames. It's the kind of thing that works as well on a quiet weekday as it does on a weekend, and with the run stretching across three weeks, there's plenty of room to fit it in when it suits you.
