Immersive, highly improvised interactive dining show where guests become the hotel's diners served by Basil, Sybil and Manuel in a three-course meal.
Faulty Towers The Dining Experience is back at the President Hotel in Bloomsbury, with a performance on Sunday 6 December at 18:30. It's the immersive theatre adaptation of the BBC series Fawlty Towers, and it's now checking in for its 13th year in London.
The setup is simple: the show brings the series to life as a 70s-style three-course meal, and you're not just watching it from a seat. You become one of the hotel's esteemed diners, served by Basil, Sybil and Manuel. Because it's immersive, the action happens around you rather than on a stage, and the whole thing is highly improvised and interactive, so no two nights play out exactly the same way. If you've seen the show, you know the sort of chaos that follows when Basil tries to keep things running smoothly.
It's a bit of a record-breaker, too. It's the longest-running immersive experience in the West End, the longest-running show based on a TV series, and the longest-running Fawlty Towers show of any kind worldwide. That's thirteen years of Basil losing his temper in the same hotel, which is a fair bit of staying power.
