South London band Fat Dog, led by Joe Love, play a homecoming show at the O2 Academy Brixton.
Fat Dog play the O2 Academy Brixton on Saturday 24 October, a homecoming show for the South London band. It's one of their biggest dates to date, and it comes after a period of quiet — they're back with new music, a new tour, and a seven-piece line-up.
Frontman Joe Love leads the group, and he's also the songwriter and chief rabble-rouser. He co-produces with Oli Bayston, and the band's debut album, WOOF, came out in 2024, following the standalone singles 'Pray To That' and 'Peace Song'. The latest addition is 'Go Fuck Urself', a 2026 single that leans into 80s electro-pop and is driven by melodica; it's got a Nine Screens video that lands the band in a wrestling ring.
They describe themselves as an undefinable, undeniable and raucous South London band, and that's a fair summary of the sound they've built. The Brixton show is part of a wider run of dates that sits alongside a summer of festivals and three European arena shows supporting Foo Fighters, so they'll be well-rehearsed by the time they hit their own turf.
