Doom metal show by Eyehategod with Rwake and Intercourse at The Scala, for ages 16 and over.
Eyehategod are playing The Scala on Monday 9 November, with Rwake and Intercourse supporting. It's a Desert Scene night, and the whole thing runs from 7:00 pm to 11:00 pm, with doors opening at 7:00 pm.
If you're not familiar with them, Eyehategod came up in the early 1990s with a doomy, bluesy punk and misanthropic metal that put them right at the front of the New Orleans scene. They debuted with In the Name of Suffering, and since then they've built a loyal following on a string of disorienting releases, adding or refining an element on each new album and continuing to evolve as doomcore veterans. It's a long run, and they've stayed active throughout it.
On the bill with them are Rwake and Intercourse, so there are two more bands to get through before the main set. The whole night is presented by Desert Scene, and it's for ages 16 and over only, so you'll need to bring an original physical photo ID to get in. It's standing room only, which is worth keeping in mind if you're planning your evening.
