Family firework display with live music by Matthew Lynch and food stalls, raising funds for Dulwich Sports Club.
Dulwich Sports Club is hosting its annual firework display on Saturday 7 November, with the main event going off around 7:00pm. It's one of the club's key fundraising nights, and this year they've changed the layout, which they describe as safer than ever and with more space for the food and drink stalls. The fireworks themselves are powered by The Fireworks Firm.
It's a long evening rather than a quick trip in and out. Doors open at 5:00pm, and live music runs from 5:30pm through to 7:00pm, headlined by Matthew Lynch. That gives you a good window to settle in and eat before the display starts. On the food front, there's a wide spread of local stalls: mulled wine and ale for the adults, BBQ burgers, Indian cuisine and pizzas to keep everyone fed. The club bills the whole thing as an autumnal gathering that brings community spirit to a classic visual spectacle.
It's a family-oriented night, and the pricing reflects that. Full price is £13, juniors are £8, and kids under 12 get in for £1. There's no minimum age, though children under 16 need to be accompanied by a responsible adult. Specially trained assistance dogs are welcome. Access is via Giant Arches off Burbage Road and Turney Road, and there's no onsite parking, so you'll want to plan your journey in advance. One strict rule to keep in mind: no sparklers on site.
