Monthly mixed-bill comedy night with five live acts, an MC and £5 tickets at Pleasance London.
Cut Price Comedy is back at Pleasance London on Tuesday 17 November, the latest in a monthly run of mixed-bill nights. The format is straightforward: five acts from across the circuit, an MC to hold the room together, and a ticket price that doesn't break the bank. The line-up changes every month, so if you've been before, you'll be seeing a different set of names this time around.
For the 17 November show, the five acts are Sean McLoughlin, Hasan Al-Habib, Tamsyn Kelly, Chantel Nash and Laura Walsh, with Rob Copland on MC duties. It's a mixed bill, so you'll get a few different styles on one ticket rather than one person doing a full hour. The Pleasance describes it as the best-value night out in town, and the price is where the name comes from: to mark their 30th year on the London comedy scene, they've rolled ticket prices back to 1996, when the venue first opened.
That puts it at £5.00, with a £1.50 handling fee per ticket, capped at £6. There are concessions available, and babies under two don't need a ticket, so it's one of the easier comedy nights to bring a group or a family to. The bar does cut-price pints and pizzas, too, if you're planning to make a proper evening of it.
