Live show by pop punk band Citizen, with Modern Color and thistle, at EartH in Stoke Newington.
Citizen play EartH in Stoke Newington on Saturday 24 October, with the set starting at 6:00 PM in the Hall. They're the headliners on the bill, and they've got Modern Color and thistle opening the night, so it's a full run of three bands rather than just a single act.
If you're not familiar with them, Citizen are a pop punk and pop band from Toledo, Ohio. They're fronted by Eric, Nick, Mat, Jake and Ryland, and that pop punk label tells you where they sit: it's music that leans on the melodic, hooky side of things, with the pop side of their sound pulling it towards something a bit more open. It's a long way from Ohio to North London, so this is one of those dates that brings them across the Atlantic for a night in the city.
The venue is EartH, over at 11-17 Stoke Newington Road in N16. It's a well-known spot in the neighbourhood, and for this one they're using the Hall, which is the main room. With Modern Color and thistle on the bill, the night starts well before Citizen take the stage, so if you're keen on the support you'll want to be there early rather than just for the headliners.
