Bonnie 'Prince' Billy plays the O2 Shepherd's Bush Empire on Tuesday 17 November, with support from Dawn McCarthy. It's a mid-week date in West London, and the bill puts Billy's particular brand of folk and Americana front and centre.
The show comes at a time when he's promoting his latest album, We Are Together Again. It's a record that takes in a world in flux and holds up friendship, community and the joy of making art with others as a means of persistence. That's the sort of thing you'll hear him talking about between songs, and it's the spirit that runs through the new material: a focus on the people around you when things feel unsteady. If you've got the record on your turntable, this is the night you get to hear those songs out in the air.

Dawn McCarthy opens the evening, so there's a full bill to get through before the curfew. Doors open at 19:00, and the whole thing wraps up by 23:00, which gives you plenty of time to get home on a Tuesday night without it becoming a proper late one. General onsale tickets are available, and there are VIP packages as well if you're after something a bit more than a standard ticket. It's a straightforward evening of music: two acts, one stage, and a set built around the new album.
