Free family litter pick at Down Lane Park in Tottenham Hale to keep the area clean and mark Black History Month.
Down Lane Park Pavilion is hosting a series of community litter picks throughout October, with sessions running every Saturday morning. They're on the 10th, 17th, 24th and 31st, from 9am to 12 noon each time, so if you can't make the first one, there are three more to choose from.
The mornings are held to keep Tottenham clean and to mark Black History Month, and they're aimed at the whole family, so it's as much for kids as for adults. It's a straightforward way to spend a few hours outdoors and do something useful for the neighbourhood at the same time.
The meeting point is the Down Lane Park Pavilion on Park View Road, Tottenham Hale, N17 9AU. If you're coming with a pram or a wheelchair, it's worth knowing that all parks in Haringey are accessible to wheelchair users, so you won't be stuck on the paths.

It's free to take part, and since there are four dates across the month, you can drop in for one or come along to a few. Each session runs from 9am to 12 noon, so you're done by lunchtime.
