A life-drawing class led by artist Ben Youdan, inspired by Jonathan Larkin's play All The Devils, exploring kink and connection in the queer community.
Ben Youdan is leading a life-drawing class at Arts Bar Liverpool on Saturday 21 November, from 7:30 pm to 10:00 pm. It's a kinky twist on the usual setup: you'll be sketching two models in provocative poses inspired by BDSM positions, one of them a model from the cast of All The Devils styled in kinkwear, leather, latex and hardware. If you've never done life-drawing before, it's a straightforward enough starting point—just you, your paper, and the models in the room.
The session is part of a weekend of workshops inspired by All The Devils, a new play by Jonathan Larkin commissioned by Homotopia. The play looks at kink and connection within the queer community, and this class takes that theme and puts it on the page. It's one of several events that weekend, so if you're into the subject, there's more to it than just this one night.

All The Devils is produced by Switchflicker and Alex Ferguson, funded by the Community Fund and Arts Council, and presented in partnership with Sahir House and Axess. It's due to premiere at the Liverpool Playhouse in 2027, so this workshop comes well ahead of the full production. The class itself runs from 7:30 pm to 10:00 pm at Arts Bar, 22 Hope Street, L1 9BY. It's free, but you'll need to book your place in advance.
