Weekly Wednesday salsa night with classes for beginners and improvers led by Ellena McConville, followed by a social session.
Ellena McConville is leading the Wednesday Salsa Social at Boxpark Liverpool on Wednesday 13 January, and it's set up as a full evening rather than just a single class. The night starts with two separate sessions — one for beginners and one for improvers — so you can pick the level that fits where you're at. Both are run by McConville, which keeps the teaching consistent across the two groups.
Once the classes wrap up, the floor opens for a social session. That's the part that turns it into a social rather than just a lesson: you get to take what you've just gone through and actually dance it with other people. If you're coming along for the first time, you can stick to the beginner class and then jump straight into the social, or if you've got a few steps under your belt, the improver class is there to push things a bit further before the dancing starts.

It's a good way to get into salsa without needing a partner to bring along, since the social part is all about dancing with whoever's on the floor. The whole thing runs from 7pm to 10pm, so you've got the teaching and the social all in one go. If you're in Liverpool and fancy a mid-week night of dancing, that's the one to keep on your radar.
