Hot Water Comedy are putting on a Triple Headline Christmas Comedy Special at Blackstock Market on Thursday 17 December. It's billed as the venue's flagship comedy night, bringing together four headline comedians from across the UK and beyond, with regular TV faces in the mix. The line-up is Danny McLoughlin, Phil Chapman, Matt Richardson and Simon Wozniak.
Each of them brings a different kind of track record. Danny McLoughlin was a Chortle Student Comedian of the Year finalist in 2008 and performed at the 2009 Edinburgh Festival. Phil Chapman is one of the circuit's most prolific writers, having written for BBC Radio 4's The News Quiz and Newsjack. Matt Richardson is a multi-award-winning comic and co-host of The Xtra Factor, with appearances on Never Mind the Buzzcocks and Celebrity Juice. Simon Wozniak has been a sought-after headline act around the UK for the past decade.
Hot Water Comedy is based here in Liverpool and is widely regarded as the UK's best comedy promoter, running award-winning, purpose-built comedy venues. Blackstock Market itself is Liverpool's biggest food market, with live music nightly and a roof terrace, and the night is pitched as a good fit for work Christmas outings.
