Triple Headline Christmas Comedy Special

Hot Water Comedy are bringing their Triple Headline Christmas Comedy Special to Blackstock Market on Monday 28 December. It's their flagship show of the season, and the line-up this time around pulls from across the UK: Danny McLoughlin, Phil Chapman, Freddy Quinne and Tony Carroll. Hot Water are based right here in Liverpool and run their own purpose-built comedy venues, so this is one of their home-turf nights.

There's a fair bit of range to the four names. Danny McLoughlin was a Chortle Student Comedian of the Year finalist back in 2008 and played the 2009 Edinburgh Festival. Phil Chapman is one of the circuit's most prolific writers, with credits for BBC Radio 4's The News Quiz and Newsjack. Freddy Quinne is a Manchester comedian known for his northern observational humour, and Tony Carroll has been a standout act since 2010 and a regular for Hot Water. They're billed as a side-splitting night of laughter, pitched as a good shout for a work Christmas night out.

Because it's at Blackstock Market, the comedy isn't the only thing on the go. There's live music and food available before and after the show, so you can make a full evening of it rather than just popping in for the set. If you're sorting a larger group, they do private hire packages for up to 200 people.

The show starts at 19:00, with doors opening at 17:30 and the whole thing wrapping up by 20:30. Standard tickets are £15, and there are free birthday and free Blue Light tickets available. The venue is Hot Water Comedy Club, inside Blackstock Market at 17 Blackstock Street, L3 6ER.
